Pete Romanowski is retiring from marshaling

September 26, 2020

Pete Romanowski, one of NCR’s and SCCA’s best known flaggers is retiring from marshaling after 41 years of dedication to our sport. But that doesn’t mean he’s going away! I received the following email from him the other day:

Hi folks in the racing community,
It is with sadness that I’m giving up marshaling at races. My back has gone from bad to worse with no cure. To make matters worse, I can’t get a knee replacement because I am not able to rehabilitate. Catch 22, I get around with the use of a walker, my health is good, I just can’t do anything. I will try to come to see races just not at dark thirty. I will miss being on corners or at start, most of all I will miss the camaraderie ???? ???? ????
