Triangle Chapter Report – June 2020
On Wednesday, June 3rd, eight NC region members met at 7:30 PM via Zoom. We opened with some general discussion of current events as well as some reports and photos from the Memorial Monster TT at CMP over Memorial Weekend. Then the minutes for the BoD meeting were reviewed, including discussion from Bruce on website upgrades and electronic waivers, and James regarding the reporting of financial status in the minutes of the BoD meetings for the future. We reviewed our upcoming events – Goblins Go to be a 2-day event and NCCAR track changes and probable entry fees. Discussed this event as an opportunity for road racers to get in some testing and shake off the rust from the layoff. We also talked about possibly returning to in-person meetings for July or August. Mark and Al will be pursuing a possible venue with a large outdoor area as a possibility. It was also decided that the July meeting be moved to July 8th, to avoid conflict with the holiday weekend. There was some discussion regarding the classified ads section of the website and the fact that it is not being well utilized at this point. We will make an effort to promote that part of the website at future meetings. Finally, the Triangle Chapter again extends our condolences to the Deffenbaugh family on the recent passing of Rex’s dad, Art. Our hearts continue to be with you in this very difficult year for your family.
