North Carolina Region SCCA F&C

April 28, 2013

We would like to give a big thank you to everyone who came out for the Oak Tree Double National. We had a couple of long days, but they were filled with some great racing. Except for a little bit of weather on Friday afternoon, it was a fantastic weekend. Thank you all for coming out to join us and help make it a great weekend.

I’d like to thank our Race Chair, Sara Snider, for hijacking the shrimp boat on her way to the track. Yet another tasty treat!

Now, on to the next race! Quickly approaching is the SARRC/MARRS Challenge, May 11 & 12 at VIR. This is a Double Regional with 2 Regions, so I guess that makes it a quadruple. That’s a lot of racing to pack into two days and you don’t want to miss it. If you have any turn requests, just add them to the remarks when you register.

As usual, on line registration is through MotorsportReg. We’ll have the usual accouterments – continental breakfast ( coffee, hot chocolate, sweet rolls, fruit, and such ) on both days, lunch on both days, including the hot lunch buffet on Sunday, and the Saturday night social.

If you plan to camp in Worker Camping, select that option on the pre-registration form, as camping passes and electrical hookup bands are limited.

We’re making plans to work some out-of-Region events too. If you are interested in going, let us know. First of all is the Memorial Day race at CMP. Check the CCR web site for details. CCRSCCA.COM

We’re also looking into getting groups together for the Baltimore GP and the Run-Offs. Let us know if you are interested.

Remember – sign up now for the SARRC/MARRS Challenge, May 11th & 12th.

Sincerely,
Your Favorite Flag Chief
