Greensboro, NC – (NCRSCCA) – HELLO Race Fans!! You should have been there, great fellowship, food and drinks. We started off watching some footage of the Goblins Go at VIR. It was good to have the big screen TV up and running. 15 of us welcomed guest Mike Dehaan to SCCA. Mike and his son are builting a race car, SPO? It will be exciting to see what they make of the Mustang. Below are profiles, provided by the candidates themselves, listed in the same order as on the ballot. I’ve been a member since 2004, started working for on grid/pit for two years, drivers school in Feb 2006, been racing the little Red Fiero ever since. West Chapter Coordinator for the past two years. I have with the help of several other members, set up a booth at the Greensboro Hot Rod Car Show for the past 5 years. Active member of Board of Directors, 2 years. View SCCA as a volunteer organization supported by the membership. I have been a member since 1985 and always North Carolina Region. Licensed in Timing & Scoring, Registration, Pit & Grids, Tech, National in Race Administration, National in EMS/Emergency Services, National Steward. Jobs held in Region: Assistant RE, Treasurer, Member At Large, Advisory Board, Competition Board, etc. My Region is SCCA and SCCA is my Region. What is good for my Region is also good for SCCA. My Region is always first because it is the first step and if you miss the first step, the other steps will fail. Raleigh, NC – (NCRSCCA) – The last Triangle Chapter meeting of the year was held at El Rodeo in Raleigh, and it was a good one. Mark Senior supplied in-car video from the cockpit of his Spec Miata at VIR and we had not one, but two, 2012 SARRC Champions in attendance. Chuck Hines took first in ITS after a fierce season-long battle with Jeff Young, who finished second. Chuck was with us but not Jeff, and to hear Chuck tell it, the championship came down to the last lap of the last race of the season – it was that close. Congratulations, Chuck! Well fought, Jeff! The Chapter salutes you both. We also saluted F500 champ Boz Marchi who was present as well. Way to go, Boz! |
