Good News! It’s almost Spring! Time to kick off the North Carolina Region’s 2013 Racing Season!
Even Better News! The NCR Executive Board of Directors voted to increase Worker Credits to $35 per day! Hey Hey! Come out and play!
The Best News of the Day! We are now able to register you in the Raceplex so you can enter the track with valid credentials! We’ll be using the old Synergy building in the Raceplex before the main gate. No more having to park on the skidpad and walking to North Tower to get a Paddock Parking Pass. Please help us get the word around.

NCR IN 2012 – A Report from Our TreasurerGreetings & Salutations fellow members! This year’s annual banquet was held a week earlier than in past years and consequently our financial health was not a part of this years agenda… Let me first say it was physically impossible to provide financial information at the banquet this year for two reasons: First I was down in Florida at the Sebring DoubleMajor event and secondly, the December transactions had not been completed that early in January. So, here’s the information In a nut shell… Triangle Chapter Report – February 2013The first meeting of the Triangle Chapter for 2013 was held at our favorite watering hole, the El Rodeo restaurant in the Townridge Shopping Center in Raleigh, where Pleasant Valley crosses Glenwood Avenue. As usual, the food and the service were excellent, as was the dinner hour entertainment. Member at Large Wayne Quick provided in-car video from the inaugural Eastern Conference Majors race (Double National) at Sebring the weekend of January 4th – 6th. We seldom see in-car video of Sebring here in the Triangle since it’s a long way to go, so it was a real treat to see that track from behind the wheel of Wayne’s GT3 Ford Probe. His wife Jean, ever the proud crew chief and spouse, was quick to point out that Wayne took a second place in one of the races there. Congratulations, Wayne! And thanks for sharing! By the way, some of the rest of us, Sam Fouse, Dan Robson and myself, were surprised to see that there’s now a large motel adjacent to the track and visible to the drivers. Guess it really has been “awhile” since we were there! West Chapter Report – February 2013Hello from the West Chapter! 6:30 p.m. found us at Cooper Ale House enjoying drinks and ordering dinner. Want to start by saying “CONGRATULATIONS to BUDDY MATTHEWS” he is the new West Chapter Coordinator. All 19 attending members voted to put Buddy in this important position. I really hate it that I won’t be writing these reports in the future, I think it was starting to come to me. But, not to worry, Buddy is very poetic and sure to write lively and informative reports. Welcome, Linda and Wally Becker! Linda and Wally met us at the Greensboro Car show and we will see them at the track in March. Be sure to give them a warm NCRSCCA Welcome. And speaking about the show, you should have been there. Tarheel Cup Series RulesEffective January 21, 2015Series 1.1 The Tarheel Cup Pro Series (hereafter known as TCPS) is a regional points series conducted by the North Carolina Region (NCR) of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and any other region(s) in the SEDiv. of SCCA which requests the right to include a TCPS regional race in their own region’s race calendar, which request receives the prior approval of the BoD of the NCR and the TCPS Committee. Clean out and replenish that track bag (crumbled Grandma’s Cookies go great on ice cream). Check out the NCR Website for the latest news from the election and awards banquet.
